오늘의 일기, sheol 그리고 hades 그리고 gehenna 그리고 tartarus 이게 뭘까요?


오늘의 주제는, 성경에는 없는, 구약성서(예수님이 오시기 전인 흔히들 말하는 이스라엘 즉 히브리인의 하나님 야훼 당시의 예언자들이 쓴 성스러운 책)에서나 신약성서(예수님의 구세주(메시야)로 오신 후, 그분의 제자들이 쓴 기록, 예수 본인은 책을 안 썼습니다 )에서의, 나오는 아주...아주....

아주...

매우.....

매우......놀라운, 잘못 번역된, 의도된 것인지, 아니면 번역자의 실수인지는,모르겠지만, 

그 무시무시한, 

그 아주 무시무시한, 한 치 앞도 모르는 인생을 사는 순박한 사람들을, 현혹케하여, 사는 게 지옥인 혹은 그 수단으로 사용하게 되게 하는, 아주 무시무시한 실체를, 오늘 적어 봅니다.


그냥 오늘 일기는, 신구약성경에서의 여러 번역으로 번역된, 한국어가 아닌, 것으로 소개합니다.


퇴근하고 지금 2시간 동안 밥도 안 먹고, 쓰고 있습니다.  찾아 보았습니다.  출처는, 

"http://www.biblegateway.com " 입니다. 


시작합니다. 아주 깁니다. 

같은, 귀절(구절)이 내용들인데, 조금씩 다르게 영어로 되어 있으며, 특히 주제는, 제목처럼,

처음에는 스올(sheol), <영어사전>에서는 [유대교의 저승] 그리고 [지옥]이라고 되어 있는데, 이 말의 본래의 뜻은, 그냥 [무덤] 그리고 내용에 따라, [저승]이라고 생각해도 될 듯한 구약성경의 구절이 있긴 했습니다. 


아무튼, 이 단어의 뜻은, 절대로, 네버, never 지옥 이 아닙니다. 헌데, 딱 한 군데에서, 지옥(Hell)이라고 되어 있는 성경번역이 있습니다. 구약성서입니다. 그 외는, 무덤입니다. 


자, 이 스올을, 지옥(hell)로 생각해서 읽으시면, 아주 터무니없는 일이 생깁니다. 

내용은, 야곱(후에 이스라엘로 불리움)의 아들이 죽었나 봐요.  그래서 모든 아들들과 딸들이 와서 위로를 합니다. 헌데, 아버지는 기어코 아들안테 간다고, 하는 내용입니다.  


참고로, in torment는 고통 중에, 뜻입니다.

다음은, 누가복음 16장 23절. 입니다.  원래, 신약성서(성경)은, 헬라어(그리스어)로 처음에 씌여졌습니다.

그래서, 원래의 단어는, Hades입니다. 이 말의 뜻은, 구약성서(성경)의 스올(sheol)에 해당하는 [무덤]입니다. 


인터넷을 찾아보니, 소아시아에서는, 현재도 000의 무덤(hades)라고, 묘비에 적혀 있다고 합니다만...무덤입니다. 


이 역시 [지옥]이라고 해서, 읽어보면, 끔찍합니다. 

예수님, 하나님은, 아주 공의로운 분이 아니시게 되고, 아무리 착아도 선하고 의롭고 어쨓든, 아주 착한 아름다운 마음씨를 가지고 남을 돕고, 도우며 살았던 사람도, 요새말로, 일부 기독교에서, 영원토록 지옥불에 타면서 고통을 당한다, 라고 설교하는 목사들이 있다고 합니다.  예수를, 하나님을 믿지 않으면 말이죠.  


그렇다고, 한다면, 기독교가 없는 국가, 아에, 우리 한국만을 예로 들어도, 기독교란 것을 몰랐던 조선시대, 고려시대, 삼국시대, 그 이전 단군 할아버지 시대, 구석기 시대, 신석기 시대 등등, 다른 나라 역시, 미개인들이라고 하는 발가벗고 사는 지구인들 중에 인종이 있습니다.  다들, 불지옥에 영원토록 불타고 있겠네요.  지옥에 간다고 하면, 그냥 가는 것도 아니고, 영원토록 지옥불에서 불타면서 괴로움을 당한다, 고 한다면, 우리 한국의 조상님들, 다들 유교, 혹은 불교, 현재에도, 기독교인이 아니라면, 아무리 착해도, 다들 지옥행이 됩니다.  


놀랍죠?  볼까요?

신약성서를 보면, 아주 재미있습니다.  이 내용은, 부자와 가난한 나자로(라자로)라고 하는 사람 중에, 가난한 자가 먼저 죽고, 후에 부자가 죽고 난 후, 무덤 혹은 저승에서 부자가 가난한 나자로가 아브라함의 품에 안겨 있는 모습을 보고서, 놀라서 하는 내용입니다. 재미납니다.  


그리고, 읽다 보면, 스올(sh'ol)이라고 번역된 영어성경도 있습니다.  구약성서의 내용처럼...

hades(the realm of the dead:죽은 사람들의 영역),이 부분의 있는데요, 위에서 스올에서 처럼, the world of dead people(죽은 사람들들의 세계, 저승), the place of the dead 이런 식으로, 저승이라고 하는 의미,

여기는, 베드로후서 2장입니다.

여기서는, gehenna(읽는 법은 게헨나), 본래의 뜻은요, 

힌놈의 아들의 골짜기, 어디에, 예루살렘에 있는, 옛날 여호수아 라고 하는, 모세 이후의 바톤을 물러 받은, 예언자가 여호수아에서도 말하는, 지역입니다. 예수님이 오셨던 시대(지금으로부터 약 2000년 전)에도 있었던, 곳입니다. 


아래 내용을 읽어보면, 히브리어 성경에는, 이스라엘 변절자들과 여러 가지 다양한 바알신들과 가나한의 우상신들과 몰록신을 포함하여, 그들의 자녀들 즉 아들과 딸들을 불속에 희생제물로 바쳤던 아주 끔찍한 곳이다, 라고 나와 있네요. 


그리고요, 요기, 예수님의 이스라엘의 예루살렘 성 주변을 보니, 하루 종일 뿌연 연기에 타오르는, 당시 처형당한 시체들을 불태우거나 버리는 곳이며, 시신이나 죽은 동물들이나 각종 쓰레기를 버리던, 그래서 구더기나 쥐들이 바글바글 했던, 장소입니다. 이곳을 예로 들어서, 말한 것이, 현대의 성경 대부분의 영어 성경이나 한국어 성경에는 지옥 혹은 지옥불 이라고 번역되어 있습니다. 


이 힌놈의 골짜기, 는, 실제로 존재하는 지역, 지명, 땅이며, 당시 이스라엘 사람들은, 쳐다보기도 싫은, 매일 불타는, 시체 태우는, 쓰레기 태우는 곳이었습니다.  어떤 시체, 나라에 죄를 지은 죄인들의 시체를 버리는 곳이었습니다.  고로, 예수님이 말한 게헨나(gehenna)는, 무덤을 의미하는 말이었습니다.  시체 버리는 곳, 무덤 아닌가요/


우리나라 사람이나 옆에 일본이나, 중국이나, 다 들 사람 죽으면, 버립니다. 어디에, 무덤에, 어떻게? 화장(불태움)하거나, 혹은 죽은 시신을 땅에 관속에 넣어서 묻습니다, 그럼 구더기 생깁니다. 쥐가 파먹습니다. 별의별 것들이 맛있다고, 파먹습니다. 시신 속에, 죽은 동물의 몸속에서, 영원토록, 말이죠.  ㅎㅎㅎㅎ


예수님은, 석가모니 부처님처럼, 인도 현재도 16국, 약 2500여년 전에도 16국으로 되어 있는 그 인도는, 아주 지저분한 연못이 많아서, 글자는 커녕 자기 이름도 제대로 모르는, 까막눈인 노예계급을 비롯한 상인, 평민, 왕들에게 극락의 세계에 관해서, 인간의 마음의 정화를 어떻게 설명할까 고심하다가, 아, 그래, 인도 전역에는 온갖 오물과 각종 벌래들이 바글바글하는 더러운 니소(연못)에 피는, 연꽃을 예로 들어 설명했습니다. 


이처럼, 그 때, 그 때의 시대적 환경과 모든 상황을 모른 채, 성경이나 혹은 다른 책을 읽으면, 그 사람이 뭔 의도로 그런 말을 했는지, 모르게 됩니다.   이런 식입니다.

마태복음 5장 30절입니다.  게헨나(gehenna) 힌놈의 골짜기, 처형된 시신들 버려서 불태우던 곳, 지겹도록 오랫 몇 천년동안, 우상들을 숭배하던 예수가 오기전 시대에, 그들의 신자들의 아들과 

딸들을 불태워 죽이던, 희생재물로 바쳤던 그 장소.  아주 끔찍한 착한 사람은 가기도 싫었던 곳이었겠죠. 


예수님의 성격은, 아주 단호했고 다혈질이었음을, 성경에서 보이며, 자상하기도 합니다. 제 개인 생각입니다.

오른손이 잘못된 길로 가게 하면(실족하면 이라고 한국어 성경에는 되어 있나요?), 잘라 버려라, 온 몸이 불타는 힌놈의 골짜기 쓰레기장, 죄를 지은 죄인들을 죽인 후 버리는 시체 버리는 쓰레기더미에 불태워 버리는 것보다 낫다, 말이죠.  



Matthew 5:30  읽어보시면 현재의 기독교의 성경의 오역을, 볼 수 있습니다. 

40여권의 영어로 된 번역서 중에, 37개의 번역서가, hell(지옥)입니다. 심지어는, 지옥불(hell fire)라고 번역한 곳도 있습니다.  몇 개의 영어로 된 번역에는, 원문 그대로 게헨나 혹은 힌놈의 골짜기, the rubbish-heap. (여기서는 쓰레기더미)도 있네요.


그러니까, 요즘 서울시내에서 예수천국 불신지옥 그것도 불지옥, 영원토록 고통속에서 불탄다고, 말하는, 교회의 교리들, 누가 만들었을까요?  신학대학교까지 나오신 분들이, 도대체 뭘 배웠을까요? 의문이 들지 않을 수 없습니다.

와우, 드디어 끝이 났습니다.  10분전 9시입니다.  장장 4시간이 걸렸습니다.  퇴근하자마자 바로 시작한 게, 일일이 인터넷을 검색하고, 찾고 메모장에 올린 후, 본 블로그에 올리기까지, 말이죠. 중요하니까요. 제 생각엔.



文字通りの意味[編集]

본래, 오늘날의 예루살렘 도시의 성문의 바깥에 있으며, 깊고 좁은 곡저(谷底:골짜기의 밑바닥)의 쓰레기를 버리는 곳이다.  거기에는, 쓰레기를 처분하기 위해서 불을 끊임없이 계속 태우고, 악취를 풍기고 있었다. 또한 처혐된 죄인의 몸이나, 어울리게 즉 알맞게 매장을 하지 못했던 인체가 파묻히는 장소이기도 했다.  라고 되어 있습니다.



결론을, 맺고자 합니다.

예수님을, 저는 존경합니다. 물론 구약시대의 창세기에 나오시는 엘로힘(God: 사전상에는 히브리인 즉 유대인의 하나님(하느님)) 이라고 말하고 있지만, 저는 인간을 비롯한 만물을 창조하신, 저의 영혼의 부모님이신 신(God, 神)을 존경합니다.  그리고 부처(佛)도 존경합니다.  모세 역시 존경합니다.  


그리고, 사람들의 마음의 번역할 때, 어떠한 상태인가에 따라, 즉 조화된 편안한 상태에서 번역을 하고, 그 시대적 배경이나 상황이나 그 인물의 성격이나 모든 것을, 파악해야만 올바르게 실수 없이 번역을 할 수 있게 됩니다.  한국에서 발행되는 각종 출판사별로 나오는 성경들을 보면, 신약성경에 진짜로, 지옥, 이라는 단어와, 음부(저승)이라고 번역된 문장 속의 단어가 있습니다.  진짜로, 읽다보면, 어, 이게 아닌데, 왜?


why?  이런 말이 이 부분에 나오지? 하게 되었던 시절이 있었습니다. 


극심한 빙의로 인해서 약 8년간, 완전히 미치놈이 되어, 전국을 떠돌아, 내 병 고치려, 지금 그 한창 일할 나이였던 30대 딱 중반에 병이 온 후, 지금 40대 딱 중반에, 병이 나아서, 현재 50을 향해 달려가는 저는, 

성경을 부정하거나, 하는 일은 전혀 없습니다.  혹 기독교의 신실한 실로 마음속에 상태가 아주 편안한, 온화한, 상태로 자기 자신은 물론 남에게 상처를 주지 않으며 실로 가난한 불쌍한 이웃을 제 몸처럼 돕는 분들에게, 혹 이 글이 오해의 소지가 되어, 상처를 주는 글이 아니었으면 하는 바램입니다. 


저는, 지구상에 있는 어떠한 종교라고 할지라도, 그 종교에 속한 사람이 어떠하더라고 할지라도, 그 종교를 비난하지 않습니다. 나름대로의 각자의 판단과 선택이기에, 즉 신의 부여한 자유의지이기 때문에, 그가 선택한, 그녀가 선택한 인생의 자신의 항로를 갈 때, 가지 말라, 가라, 라고 저는 강제하지 않습니다.


강압하지 않습니다.  구약성서에 십계명의 내용을 자세히 들여야 보면, 하늘이건 땅이건 그 무엇이건 간에, 그 이름 혹은 그것으로 맹세하지 말라고, 했다고 저는 알고 있습니다.  


헌데, 어떤 신앙생활을 하는 종교단체에서, 맹세를, 강요하는, 일이 있다면, 받은 경험이 있으신 분은, 곰곰히 잘 생각하시고, 그 때, 마음의 편안했던가, 괴로웠던가를 생각해 보시고, 아, 지금 나는 나의 인생의 길을 잘 걷고 있는지 생각해 보는 글이 되었으면 합니다. 


저는, 많은 종교 여러 곳에 속한 분들과 청소년시절부터 많은 교리적 및 그 교파의 신앙고백이랄까 그런 것들에 대해, 심도 깊게 혹은 얕게, 대화를 했던 경험이 많아서, 제 나름대로 판단할 때, 믿음은, 자유입니다. 그 믿는 그 믿음이 자신은 물론 가까운 데는 가족이나 친구 직장이나 주변 사람에게, 그 믿음을 행하는, 행위 즉 신앙생활로 인해, 피해를 주는 것이라면, 다시 한번 잘 생각해서, 자신을 반성해 볼 필요가 있다고 생각됩니다. 


거듭 언급하지만, 예수는, 당시의 고대 이스라엘 지금 2014년 이죠, 당시 이스라엘의 핍박받던 일반 백성들이 삶의 현실을 알아 내고 성경을 읽으신다면, 신약성서의 내용을, 아, 그래서 그런 말을 했구나, 라는 것을, 스스로 성경속에서 알게 되실 것입니다.  물론 어려운 단어들이 많습니다.  읽고 안 읽고는 개인의 판단이며 뜻이겠지요.


저는, 가끔 읽습니다. 이런 글을 쓸 때, 

저는 무속인들이나 퇴마사 혹은 도사 라고 하는 분들과의 대화를 했던 때가 가장 인간적이고, 재미있었고, 사실 절실했었습니다.  그래서, 무당들 있죠.  몇 몇 친분 있게 교제하는 분들이 있습니다.  그냥 이웃의 다정한 사람으로 말이죠.  


다음에는, 쓸 수 있다면, 막달라 마리아, 이 여자에 대해서 잘 찾아봐서 써 볼까 합니다. 

왜냐면, 제가 기억하기론, 성경을 자세히 읽어본지가, 약 15년이 지났기에, 잘 기억이 나지 않지만, 예수가 십자가에 매달려 오전 9시인가 매달려 오후 3시엔가 죽었다고 나오지요. 그 후 돌 무덤안에 매장 됩니다. 

그 앞을 지키던 사람은, 바로 대제자 베드로도 아닌 나머지 11명의 제자도 아닌, 막달라 마리야였다고 기억합니다. 

틀릴 수도 있습니다. 제 기억이.  사실, 그 부분이 성경이 신약성경에, 누가 쓴 어떤 귀절에 있는지도 잘 기억이 안납니다.  아무튼, 이 여인, 평생을 홀로 시집도 안 가고, 그분만을 바라보며 살았던 여인이 아닐까 생각이 듭니다. 지고지순한 여인. 그녀, 막달라 마리아.
